
Longford Lights Internship Programme
The Longford Lights Internship Programme is designed to bring together 10 motivated individuals to work on the preproduction and delivery of the Longford Lights Festival in January and February 2025. The opportunity ideally suits individuals seeking creative opportunities or emerging artists seeking greater experience in spectacle and community-based art making contexts.
Internship Offer
Mide Arts Group will provide the following supports as part of the internship programme:
Job shadowing with a team of professional artists during site build and installation.
Stipend of €300 towards Intern expenses incurred over the seven weeks.
Certified training in Manual Handling, Working at height, Fire safety.
Training workshop in how to write project proposal writing / grant writing.
Invigilation work experience.
Requirements to apply:
Be 18 years or older.
Be available to work 18 hours between Mondays and Fridays and during the festival hours (6-10pm, 20-23rd Feb).
A working knowledge of spoken English language.
Ability to engage in moderately physical outdoor work.
Previous experience of working on voluntary activities or art projects would be an asset.
